The heart behind Roots Redefined.

I did not create Roots Redefined because I simply wanted to start a business.
I created it because I kept seeing the same problem.
Too many children were being asked to learn without being inspired. Too many families were searching for resources that challenged their children while still helping them feel confident, capable, and seen.
Too many students were beginning to believe that learning was something they had to survive instead of something they could enjoy, understand, and grow through.
As an elementary educator, curriculum designer, mentor, and Morehouse College graduate, I have spent my career working alongside children, families, schools, and communities.
Across classrooms, after-school programs, and educational leadership roles, I witnessed the power of what happens when students are given both support and high expectations.
I also witnessed what happens when they are not.
Every child deserves learning experiences that help them grow academically while reminding them of their worth, potential, and purpose.
Roots Redefined was born from that belief.
Why Roots Redefined Exists
Roots Redefined exists to help children grow with confidence, curiosity, culture, and purpose.
We believe education should do more than improve test scores. It should help children discover who they are, understand where they come from, and develop the skills needed to thrive in the world around them.
Our mission is to redefine how children and communities experience education by creating learning resources that are rigorous, engaging, culturally grounded, and built for real families.

Introducing Club Roots
Club Roots is the flagship learning experience of Roots Redefined.
Designed for elementary scholars, Club Roots combines reading comprehension, mathematical thinking, leadership development, reflection, and live community learning into a monthly experience that families can engage with together.
Each edition is intentionally created to help students practice essential academic skills while building confidence, curiosity, and character.
Because learning should never feel like another worksheet.
It should feel like growth.
